Apexification is an endodontic technique used in immature necrotic teeth, the primary goal of which is to induce a calcified barrier in roots with open apices and to promote the continuation of apical root development. A 7-year-old patient with a coronal fracture in a maxillary central incisor was treated with an apexification technique using calcium hydroxide. The apical closure was obtained after one year, then a permanent root canal filling was performed. The tooth was monitored for a period of 20 years, up to when a trauma caused its extraction. Immediate Implant Placement in Fresh Mandibular Molar Extraction Socket: 8-Year Results. A Case Report

Abstract Recently, successful implant placement in fresh extraction sockets has been reported. In this case report, we present the results of an immediate implant placement in a fresh extraction socket of a mandibular molar with simultaneous bone regeneration using a nonresorbable membrane and no other graft materials. Clinical and radiographic findings acquired 8 years after implant placement demonstrated a stable peri-implant situation and confirmed a satisfactory treatment result.

This work studied how prefabricated intraradicular post material affects the mechanical performance of restored teeth. The effect of using two different materials (glass fiber and stainless steel) with significantly different elastic moduli was studied.A combined theoretical and experimental method was used: first, an experimental fracture strength test was performed on 60 extracted human maxillary central incisors.
